Quality Payment Program Exceeds Year 1 Participation Goal

CMS Administrator, Seema Verma, recently congratulated the Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPi) and the Quality Payment Program Support for Small, Underserved, and Rural Practices (QPP SURS) – two programs in which CHiP’s projects play an important role – for exceeding CMS’s goal number of clinicians participating in the first year of the Quality Payment Program (QPP). Ninety one percent of clinicians eligible for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) participated; the CMS goal was 90%. The Quality Payment Program’s technical assistance services also received a 99.8% customer satisfaction rating by over 200,000 clinicians and practice managers.
