CHIP to present research at MedInfo in Lyon, France

CHIP research projects have been selected from over 1100 applications to appear at MedInfo in Lyon, France this week. Dr. Abel Kho, CHIP Director, and Ms. Yu Deng, CHIP doctoral research assistant, will present on analyzing and improving identification of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) phenotypes and sub-phenotypes.

Dr. Kho will present a poster entitled, “Assessing the Concordance of Clinical Classification Criteria for Lupus between Electronic Health Records and a Physician Curate Registry,” showcasing the work of Dr. Theresa Walunas, CHIP Associate Director, and Dr. Rosalind Ramsey-Goldman, NM Professor of Medicine (Rheumatology). Having collaborated with Dr. Walunas, Dr. Kho, Dr. Yacob Tedla, and Dr. Yuan Luo, among other colleagues, Ms. Deng will present on “Latent Class Analysis for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Sub-phenotype Identification.” Dr. Kho and Ms. Deng also worked with Anika Ghosh, Anh Chung, Jennifer Pacheco, Kathryn Jackson, Daniel Erickson, and Dr. Karen Mancera-Cuevas on these projects.

MedInfo 2019 is the 17th World Congress on Medical and Health Informatics, organized by the International Medical Informatics Association. Dr. Kho and Ms. Deng join over 1200 attendees from 72 countries at the conference.
